Roborock Robotic Vacuum Cleaners - Error Codes List
A concise list of error numbers for Roborock robotic vacuum cleaners, with brief possible solutions
Error 1: Laser Sensor (LDS) Malfunction – The laser distance sensor (LDS) is stuck or blocked. Check for any dust, hair, or obstructions around the LDS. Gently clean it and restart the vacuum.
Error 2: Bumper Stuck – The front bumper is stuck or has too much debris inside. Tap the bumper lightly to free it, clean any debris, and restart the robot.
Error 3: Wheel Stuck – A side wheel is tangled in an obstacle. Remove any tangled cables, carpets, or debris from the wheel, place the robot on a flat surface, and restart.
Error 4: Cliff Sensor Blocked or Dirty – The cliff sensors underneath the robot are covered with dust or are malfunctioning. Clean the cliff sensors with a soft, dry cloth and move the robot to a flat surface.
Error 5: Main Brush Blocked – The main brush is stuck due to hair, string, or debris. Remove the main brush, clean it thoroughly, and reinstall it.
Error 6: Side Brush Blocked – The side brush is entangled with hair or debris. Remove and clean the side brush. If necessary, replace it.
Error 7: Wheel Lifted Off the Ground – One of the robot’s wheels is lifted off the ground. Place the robot on a level surface and restart.
Error 9: Dustbin Full or Clogged – The dustbin is full, or the air path is blocked. Empty the dustbin and check for blockages in the suction path.
Error 10: Filter Not Completely Dry – The filter is wet, which can damage the motor. Ensure the filter is fully dry before reinstalling. It should dry for at least 24 hours.
Error 11: High-Intensity Magnetic Field Detected – The vacuum is too close to magnetic tape or a virtual wall. Move the Roborock away from the magnetic source and restart (relevant to older models).
Error 12: Low Battery – The battery level is too low to commence cleaning. Place the robot on its charging dock and allow it to recharge before initiating a cleaning cycle.
Error 13: Charging Error – The robot is experiencing issues with charging. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the dock. Ensure the dock is powered and the robot is correctly positioned.
Error 14: Battery Error – The battery temperature is either too high or too low. Wait until the battery temperature returns to the normal operating range before using the robot. Another solution: Go dry the battery sensors that may have gotten wet.
Error 15: Dirty Wall Sensor – Dust has accumulated on the wall sensor, affecting navigation. Gently clean the wall sensor with a soft, dry cloth.
Error 16: Robot is Tilted – The robot is on an uneven surface or tilted position. Move the robot to a flat, even surface and restart.
Error 17: Side Brush Error – The side brush is malfunctioning or obstructed. Inspect the side brush for obstructions or damage. If the issue persists, consider performing a system reset.
Error 18: Fan Error – There's an issue with the vacuum's fan. Perform a system reset. If the problem continues, contact Roborock support.
Error 21: Vertical Bumper Pressed – The laser rangefinder (vertical bumper) is pressed or obstructed. Remove any obstructions and ensure the rangefinder moves freely.
Error 22: Recharge Sensor Blocked by Dust – Dust is obstructing the recharge sensor, hindering docking. Clean the recharge sensor with a soft cloth.
Error 23: Charging Dock is Jammed – The charging dock's locator beacon is obstructed. Remove any foreign objects from the charging dock and ensure it's on a flat surface.
Error 24: Virtual No-Go Zone or Wall Detected – The robot has encountered a virtual barrier. Move the robot away from the virtual no-go zone or adjust the virtual barriers in the app.
Error 26: Wall Sensor is Dirty – The wall sensor has accumulated dust. Clean the wall sensor gently with a soft, dry cloth.
Error 27: VibraRise System is Jammed – The VibraRise system has encountered an obstruction. Check for and remove any obstructions in the VibraRise system.
Error 28: Robot is on Carpet – The robot is on a carpeted surface, which may not be suitable for certain functions. Move the robot to a hard floor surface and restart.
Internal Error – The robot has encountered an unspecified internal malfunction. Perform a factory reset. If the issue persists, contact Roborock support.
Robot Not Charging – Possible causes include dirty charging contacts, a misplaced charging dock, or a faulty power adapter. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the dock, ensure the charging dock is positioned correctly, and verify that the power adapter is functioning.
Mop Pads spin, but no water comes out of the robot or water comes out on only one side – This usually happens because the nozzles are clogged with limescale. Try inserting a pin into the nozzles to loosen the blockage.
