OVERVIEW

LDS Sensor

This is a Laser Distance Sensor, whose technology is called "LIDAR". 

Generally, this is the second component with the highest financial value, after the motherboard. its corresponding gear transmission motor is included, and in our various purchase options we also allow its purchase only (only gear motor) without the complete LDS component/module.

Color Note: A full model name ending in the digit 0 (eg S70) refers to the white/bright robot color of the model. a suffix with the digit 5 (for example S55, S75) means the black color model.

LDS (Black or Orange) - S Series / Q Series

Typically, this is the LDS02RR model, which is compatible with the following models:

• Roborock S4 Max (black LDS. not compatible with the regular S4 model, which has its own LDS. for S4 model see our store)
• Roborock S5
• Roborock S5 Max
• Roborock S6
• Roborock S6 Pure
• Roborock S6 MaxV (black LDS)
• Roborock S7/S7+ (Read an explanation below)
• Roborock S7 MaxV (Aka "S7 MaxV Ultra"; Read an explanation below)
  
• Roborock S7 Pro (Aka "S7 Pro Ultra")
• Roborock Q5 (Read an explanation below).

This model of LDS, in these both purchase option (Black and Orange), is common to all the above models, however, the models marked in red being the exception:

They may come to you with this LDS version (as with the other models) and also with a smaller LDS and compatible with them only.

LDS Motor

These options allow you to replace the gear transmission motor only, in case your current one fails and the LDS is otherwise fine. significantly lowers the price:

LDS "Motor Only" Options

Please note that all the 2 following purchase options are of the exact same part except for the orange pulley difference. Both are compatible with large version of the LDS found in all the models we mentioned above:

• "Motor Only" - that orange pulley / drive head is not included in this option. this "non pulley" version lowers the price even more.

Note: Such procedures (replacing internal parts) are supposed to be performed by licensed technicians, laboratories, or at least individuals with a background in the field.
